This message contains important updates for Early Learning Assessment Data Managers and Administrators.

Data Manager Training: ELA Closedown
Wednesday November 9, 2022 (10 a.m. – 11 a.m.)
This webinar is for data managers and administrators responsible for submitting Fall 2022 Early Learning Assessment (ELA) scores and data reporting to EMIS and EAS. This session will provide participants with information for accessing reports, managing transfers, and the necessary steps during the data cleanup window.

Fall 2022 Assessment Window
The KReady system fall data collection closes on November 14 at 11:59 p.m. After this date, teachers cannot enter ratings into KReady for the fall assessment window and data managers cannot enroll students to the fall data collection. After the data entry window closes, the KReady system will remain available for data managers to initiate and approve transfer requests and update student demographic information through November 23 at 11:59 p.m.

Teacher Training
A few ELA training opportunities for paraprofessionals and previously trained teachers are still available through mid-November:

The Early Learning Assessment for Support Teachers is designed specifically for assistant teachers, paraprofessionals, and educational aides. This online training is for anyone who will be supporting a fully ELA-trained teacher with using the ELA. This training provides an overview of the Early Learning Assessment and focuses on observational assessment concepts including how to document observational evidence. Registration can be done through the Ohio Professional Registry (OPR) at registry.occrra.org. For Fall 2022, the ELA Support Teacher Training Fall 2022 schedule lists dates, times, and ST numbers needed to register. Educators will need to register using the ST number.

The ELA Technology Virtual Training is for educators who have completed the 9-hour Early Learning Assessment (ELA) training in a previous year but who have not completed the Content and Simulation Assessments to receive a certificate. Participants will need an account in the Ready for Kindergarten Online system (also known as KReady). Registration can be done through the Ohio Professional Registry (OPR) at registry.occrra.org. For Fall 2022, the ELA Technology Virtual Training Fall 2022 schedule lists dates, times, and ST numbers needed to register. Educators will need to register using the ST number.

There are no more Early Learning Assessment (ELA) Initial Trainingfor new users.  We will send out a notice when the 2023 training calendar is available.
