We have many upcoming Early Learning Assessment (ELA) training opportunities for teachers, administrators, and data managers.
Teacher Training
We are having a high number of “no shows” for the Early Learning Assessment (ELA) teacher training sessions. The ELA trainings are for educators who will use the assessment in their classrooms. Please share this information with your teachers.
Teachers should make sure that their email address in the Ohio Professional Registry is accurate. Once they are registered, they will get an email to confirm that we have a valid email address and that they will attend. Teachers who do not respond will have their registration cancelled. This ensures that training spaces are available to those who are committed to attending.
Participants must have a teacher account in the Ready for Kindergarten Online system (KReady) to complete the training.
Each ST number below represents a complete training series. Please only register for one ST number if you are able to attend all three dates and times for that series. To register for a training, log into your Ohio Professional Registry account at https://registry.occrra.org/ and search for the training ST number in the when you search for them by ST number. If a training is full, please join the waitlist and we will make every effort to accommodate you.

Data Manager and Administrator Training Opportunities
KReady Data Manager Webinar: Questions + Answers Tuesday, October 20, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Data Managers will have the opportunity to ask questions in advance and receive responses from members of the leadership and support team. The team will address questions specific to the Kindergarten Readiness Assessment-Revised (KRA-R) and Early Learning Assessment (ELA) from topics submitted by assessment/data managers across the state via a survey. ELA – Building Administrator Tuesday Talks
Tuesday, October 27, from 10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
This session is part of a series that has been scheduled to assist new and experienced building administrators in the administration of the Early Learning Assessment (ELA). The sessions are focused on the work administrators do to facilitate the assessments in their buildings. The session is structured as a 30-minute open office hour virtual conversation with Early Learning program staff and Ohio K12 Help around specific topics. ELA Update Webinar
Monday, November 2, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
This webinar is for data managers responsible for submitting ELA reporting data to EMIS or EAS. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and receive responses from the support team and program specialists from the Office of Early Learning and School Readiness. The topics will include closing down the Fall 2020 assessment window, data clean up considerations and an explanation on reporting the ELA data and other important topics. Fall 2020 Assessment Window Reminders
The Early Learning Assessment fall assessment window teacher data entry closes in the KReady system Saturday, November 14 at 11:59 PM. Programs serving children funded by Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Preschool Special Education (PSE) are required to complete the ELA and report scores for fall and spring administration windows. For the 2020-21 school year only, the minimum requirement has changed. Visit the Ohio Early Learning Assessment Webpage to learn more about the ELA Required for 2020-2021.
