Dear Early Learning Assessment Data Managers,
We appreciate everything you do to support teaching and learning with Ohio’s youngest learners. Please review the following updates about the Early Learning Assessment (ELA).
ELA spring data collection
There was a change in the ELA technology for the 2019-2020 school year. There are now two separate ELA data collections (fall and spring) in the Ready for Kindergarten (KReady) online system. We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this has caused for the current spring collection that started on February 15 and will end on May 14.
If you have not already added the students to the spring enrollment in KReady, you will need to do that before your teachers can enter any assessment data for this window. Please follow the same procedures you did in the fall for adding students to the fall data collection. However, you will need the spring data collection token, elasp20.
If you work with a student information system to automatically generate the enrollment data for you, that system might not have the enrollment token preloaded and might even still have the fall token. If that happens, you can simply replace the fall data token with the spring data token.
Data manager training We have scheduled a series of Webinars to support you with the Early Learning Assessment (ELA) spring 2020 administration window. All Webinars are recorded and are made available shortly after they occur. If you missed the Webinars from February 3rd and 5th, you can find them here.
